Heating Oil Financial Support Now Available for Eligible Households
Earlier this year we shared news that additional government funding had been allocated to help households affected by rising heating oil prices. We’re now pleased to let our customers know that eligible residents across certain regions of the UK can apply for financial support through their local council’s Crisis and Resilience Fund.
With many off-grid households continuing to face higher energy costs, financial support schemes can provide a valuable lifeline. However, many eligible residents are simply unaware that help is available.
At Craggs Energy, our ethos is What Matters to You, Matters to Us. That’s why we’re proud to work alongside local authorities and community organisations to help raise awareness of heating oil support schemes, ensuring more households know where to find the assistance they may be entitled to.
Many of the councils in the wider Yorkshire and the North West region are in process of designing their Crisis and Resilience Fund programmes and we will keep you up to date on developments as soon as we become aware of these.
These include Chester and West Chester which offers £150 via direct payment should you be eligible, details of which can be found here. Ribble Valley also operates its own scheme, as does West Lancs.
Although funding and eligibility vary between regions, we encourage you to contact your local authority for their very latest updated.
Supporting our community
In the meanwhile, we will continue supporting our customers in the ways we can. Through our Cosy Heating Club domestic Direct Debit customers can order just 300 litres of heating oil, instead of the industry-standard minimum of 500 litres, helping households better manage their heating costs when budgets are stretched.
